Rumours - Anthony Joshua was having panic attacks weeks before the fite

Yeah, but rumours that Joshua was KO'd in sparring have been a thing for every fight.
For his last 5 or 6 wins people have been claiming he was KO'd in sparring.
Probably absolute rubbish.

 

My Suspicion, and it's only a suspicion

I think something happened to him in sparring, possibly a concussion of some sort, but they figured the fights a couple of weeks away, and it's "only" ruiz so it'll be fine

Then come fight day AJ knows he still isn't right, anxiety kicks in and we seen what happened

He looked like he didn't want to be in there from the intros, and when he got ruiz hurt he was DESPERATE to close it out and get out of there. And he had no realistic reason to be "scared" of ruiz when he wasn't of klitschko or Povetkin.

And when he lost he looked relived to be out of there without taking "too much" damage

All of the above, his dad kicking off and his weird rambling interviews during fight week?

Something was up

Maybe ruiz would gave won regardless

Lmao, if he's been KO'd in sparring every fight for last few fights, he should retire for his own sake.

 

If he suffered a concussion, he wouldn't have passed pre medical checks by the commission for the fight.

 

Maybe. None of us here knows anything really. But there was definitely something up with him pre-fight and it's not a huge leap to consider that the above may have been the cause.

He wasn't his normal self I don't care what anyone says, and I'm not "upset" that he lost, I'm made up for ruiz

But I have to tell the truth and he looked off to me before ruiz even threw a punch, and considering ruiz was friendly and unassuming I doubt AJ was intimidated by him.

 

Things like head clashes can occur in sparring

He doesn't need to have been KTFO by a clean shot in sparring for something to have gone wrong there.

 

Fury did a number on him mentally.

I think he likely got dropped hard in his last spar 1 week before the fight, against a man worse than Ruiz

To me, there didn't look like there was anything up with him at all. He looked fine.
He perhaps looked a bit nervous but he's looked a bit nervous in previous fights. Fighters often look a bit nervous. That's normal.
People are fishing for explanations because he lost.
But he just came up against a fighter who exploited all his known weaknesses. It's mostly people who overrated him who need to find more to it than that.

 

Word is it was Dawejko that did it. Not surprising. Dawejko is tough and quite skilled for a fat man. I imagine he gives a lot of fighters a rough time before fights.

 

Well he was in a new country, under immense pressure to outdo with Wilder and was in the ring against someone who stood up to him from the moment the first bell sounded.

 

Yeah, but what evidence is there that he suffered any unusual head injury or concussion in training.
Why are people saying it ?
What exactly are people saying here ? That the NYSAC let him fight while already suffering a concussion or brain injury ?

What's the basis for all this talk ?

 

That he looked and acted like a guy off his head?

People who don't like Joshua don't want to see or hear it

If you are unbiased his behaviour was fishy

He was either

A) concussed

B) smoking reefer

C) suffering from mental illness
