    Pretty crazy.

Worth noting that he was already thinking retirement and getting an exit plan lined up when he crashed. He was never going to stick around until his 30's. His plan was to go up to lightweight to fight Arguello, retire, and study to become a doctor.

He fought better against AJ than Cooper did v Holyfield.

Ruiz fought far better v AJ than Shavers did v Holmes and George is the second forum user that someone thought was me.

He`s an out of shape Tommy Hearns and beat up AJ I doubt it this guy would finish a heavyweight Hearns with his eyes closed and they are the same height or nearby, he`s also the same height as Holyfield.

You mentioned Holmes and Ruiz is far quicker than Shavers was and has a far better chin.

This. Also, that's a pretty tough list of guys for Ruiz to live up to. Ruiz would need to clean out the heavyweight division to even come close to making the list.

That makes it even more tragic. Whats a boxer compared to a doctor especially in poor countries.

Got his Mexican citizenship back? When did he give it up and why?

Amen to that. The world lost a great one in Sanchez far too young.

It's a bit premature to ask that question. Where would you rank any of the Mexican legends immediately after winning their first title?
