Ormonds timing and accuracy are not there. Missing constantly with left hook...

What a brutal fight Katie had! She seemed flat in there after the first two rounds. She fought peroons fight, maybe she was sick or something but full credit to Delphine...what an engine she has. Definitely deserves a rematch. What a war!

Ordinarily It’s all about the money DAZN would call the shots regarding venues and the us market is their big earner...but afaik Katie is legally a free agent.....it will he interesting to see what happens.

Scored it 1 pt to Katie maybe a draw (2 close rounds where taylor won a good portion of the round and the belgian finished the last 30 seconds better,)
So no robbery in my eyes but Persoon is one tought beatch alright,
Rematch would sell in dublin now people genuinely believe Taylor can lose that fight,

If Katie can't win the rematch clearly then I'd prefer to see her out of the ring. It's not a forgiving sport. I don't want to see her take that kind of punishment again. I would love to know if there was something wrong with Katie in there as she seemed fatigued very early in the fight after a couple of rounds. While Delphine was incredibly brave fit and tough, let's face it, she had the sort of boxing skills that A top operator like Katie should be able to handle. I don't know if Katie was sick or injured, just adopted the wrong tactics, or is simply losing half a step due to getting old.

Her father Pete can't have been happy with what he saw there. She looked very downcast in the corner between rounds. Her corner aren't exactly inspired either. Any thoughts?

Think Stephen Ormond retired after his most recent loss.

Willie Donoghues little brother Mike won European Junior Gold. Thats some family, one World Junior Champ and a European Junior Champ who could potentially win a World title in the future (kid looks like a pptential star in the making). A real shame Willie wasnt giving the funding he deserved and subsequently retired. Imagine he was a World champion in athletics the government would have given him what he wanted to stay on. Joke.

Then you have the likes of that creature Shane Ross all over Katie like a bad rash yesterday stepping off the plane like he had anything to do with her success even though boxings fundings been cut more and more all the time.

It's up to Katie herself to speak up. She could just tell the cynical photo opportunity politician Ross to go away. Or if she didn't want confrontation spoiling her big day she could put out a statement afterwards pointing out that a certain politician who hijacked my return doesn't represent me and I would prefer he put his time into funding our deserving boxers etc....
The reason this country is the way it is, is simply because we Irish don't make the effort. We all have a responsibility to speak up and act. Particularly those, like Katie, that are in a position to make a real impact. Sadly, disappointingly few of us do.
