Sounds like Wilder is very angry his supposed $100m payday went up in smoke.

It's funny how when certain posters suggested something wasn't right with Joshua and said they'd heard rumours they were derided as Joshua excuse makers and but now Deontay says it because he wants have a go at Hearn it suddenly becomes fact.

Anyway it's a weird situation and it will all come out in the wash. Always does.

Can you seriously expect a promoter to cancel a massive event at the last moment? Do you realize how much was at stake financially? This is blame shifting at it's worst. Aj has stated publicly that he didn't have an anxiety attack, and was properly warmed up. We would be discussing how the fight went exactly as expected if Andy didn't get up from his third round knockdown to take Aj's soul.

Why the hell is Wilder making excuses for AJ????... is this damage control????

that $120m looks like easy money now.

big mistake fighting a fit Fury, go chase the unification and try to get that money, or atleast some of it.

A physically, mentally and emotionally broken Fury pulled himself together to embarrass Wilder. Wilder should keep quiet and when his fights come around just hope he lands the shot he’s looking for for

And yeah I'm pointing out that one second people are quick to dismiss it and the next they're latching on to it depending on who said it and what their motivations are.

For the record, I've said it from the jump...as I've stated in another thread, I can both acknowledge that something was off with the man AND acknowledge that he lost to the better man on that night. Once a fighter gets in the ring, it's a fight...that doesn't change the fact that to my eye, his behavior seemed odd.

He did force AJ to fight. AJ was KO'ed in sparring 8 days before the fight and had an concussion. This was the reason why AJ father went after Hearns after the fight in the ring.

    It's a pathetic story.

Joshua was completely articulate and a little disappointed but not distraught straight after the fight. He answered questions and made no excuses.
.... and people are claiming he had a mental breakdown before and during the fight ??
(and fight in which he was beaten up in !)

    It's obviously rubbish.
