Having a bad day bud? He's also the guy who in other threads has made the claim that Duran was still prime in the mid to late 80's because he fought another 15 years after some of those 80's fights.....
Duran fought Hagler , Hearns , and Leonard at their best. Leonard waited till they got old or he thought he could create an advantage via negotiations. Yes there is a difference in greatness.
There`s no way a fighter with Duran`s height and reach could stand a chance against the reach and power of Hearns.
Ray fought him because he had a huge weight advantage and Duran had to come up in weight and was supposedly ring-worn.
I`ll give you that Ray may have thought that before Montreal but certainly not after that hook landed in Rd2.
Duran still lost to all of them, and they are the best guys he ever fought. You guys here are saying Ray knew Duran was better, then at the same time some of you will say he was above his weight. Sort of making excuses at the same time saying Ray knows Duran was better. And the fact is Ray beat him easily.. Benitez and Hearns did also. And Ray beat those guys. It logic does not make sense.
