George Kambosos, Jr. vs. Richard Alejandro Kleyberd Peña, 8 rounds @ lightweight

 

Peña has a few inches on GKJ, kind of a surprising height differential as they face off..

 

Round 1

Peña is bouncing on his toes, moving laterally, clockwise in long strides with both arms down. Kambosos charges in and clips him with a powerful lead uppercut, forcing Peña to clinch. Peña is playing daredevil, keeping both hands resting on his thighs as he darts halfway in & out again, flicking jabs up in backhanded fashion and sometimes poking them straight out from his own waist into Kambosos'. Peña seems to be attempting to channel prime Maravilla here. Risky business. Kambosos is following, virtually nothing as far as output until he gets close, wasting naught. HUGE counter left hook by Kambosos as Peña is attempting to bluff his way inside with a flurry to grab him in a clinch, partly deflected off the inside of Peña's right arm. Kambosos gives chase and lands another short hook on the ribs.

Apparently this was promoted to a 10-rounder, so you might be cutting it close if that 4:30pm EST was a hard deadline...
