Why did Wilder fail to become a superstar like AJ or AJ level money, PPVs and gate attendances?

Now now old chap, no need for the unwarranted personal attacks. Yes I was around then, oh professor of boxing knowledge, but Tyson's wasn't an act. See the difference?

Classic Tyson. The difference was that Tyson was actually crazy back then which was real. I think the difference with Wilder is that he looks more like an act. Tyson for all his craziness is quite eloquent in his own way. Tysonisms!

What makes you believe Wilder is all an act and isn't exactly what he feels?

Do you really think he wasn't trying to tear Breazelle's head off, after his pre fight twhich consisted of advising Breazelle to make funeral arrangements?

lol at all this Wilder praise. First of all, he doesnt have charisma. Just because he talks nonsense doesnt make him Mr personality. He comes off as cringe worthy actually especially when he does that whispering thing. He sounds like a ******.

His style is boring but that’s just me i guess. I dont watch boxing for one punch KOs.

He just needs to fight and keep his mouth closed cuz he is real corny and tries too hard.

Lame ass dude man. He aint no PPV fighter at all.

So because Tyson sounded more genuinely crazy, you endorse it, but because Wilder is more measured and sounds more rehearsed, you abhor it?

That's funny, because the sanctimonious seemed more upset at the words which were said rather the manner in the way they were spoken

No he was crazy. You are a funny guy. These threads... stop whining and open your eyes. Windmills a walking train wreck of cringe.

I don't understand how people will root for a fighter or not based on his smile, his looks, his intellect, the way he talks, the way he behaves in front of the press or in private.....

I mean, my ONLY requirements to be a fan of a fighter are their willingness to fight the best, and that they give it their all... Of course there is the rare exception if there is some kind of rivalry.

That is why I get behind fighters such as Canelo, Jacobs, Wilder, Estrada, Porter.

And then I have a hard time rooting for other fighters as much as I appreciate their craft like Mikey Garcia and Golovkin.

Superstar status is for the very few and Wilder certainly do not have what it takes to be one. You need to be more than a one trick pony to appeal to the masses.

He is too much of a simpleton to be a household name. The HW champion of the world is a prestigious position and Wilder is too ghetto to be a good representative.

Intuition, mostly. He never talked 'ghetto' until recently. Tyson was a straight animal from his youth. It's a shame I have to inform a professor of boxing knowledge like yourself on this.

Intuition? So it was the butterflies circulating inside your tummy which told you he didn't really mean his words?

    What next....Palmistry? His star sign?

Your argument seems to be that you have to have had a rough childhood, in order to speak with menace?

You know women exist right? It's crazy that you, a Canelo and DLH fan "don't understand" this.

I assure you women make a extremely small percentage of paying fans.

That's also the reason he snaps up customised Lambos and Mr T jewellery. He's investing for his daughter's future.

It's true but it can make a fighter more popular. Just the fact that women talk about them generates interest. They might not end up paying but their boyfriend will.

It does help having a genuine chip on your shoulder like Tyson, you can come across as phony if you try to fake menace, Mike even attacked someone the other day! Wilder has admitted he has two sides, the normal soft side, then an alter ego in the boxing world, not vey convincing at all, Tyson spent time in juevanile prison, he was rough as nails and a bit mad also.
