I've heard a few different things about Tszyu's opposition for the rest of the year. Presumably he will fight twice - in August & maybe once more in Nov or Dec. That would complete a big year for him. In terms of who is up next, Dwight Ritchie was the early favourite & hopefully is still in the frame. He's the IBF regional champ & is a good fighter who Tszyu appears ready for. News Ltd are also reporting today that promoters are trying to get Shane Mosley Jr for him. Mosley Jr has been out here before to fight Dave Toussaint & is a 6'1 middleweight. The other name I've heard mentioned is Rocky Jerkic. All would be decent opponents next up. It would be interesting to know how the PPV numbers turned out for Tszyu v Camilleri. Foxtel are going to want a return on their investment so if the numbers weren't good they will presumably be pushing for more "name" opponents - like Mosley Jr, Mundine & even Zab. Hopefully the PPV numbers were okay. I'd prefer to see local guys like Dwight Ritchie & Rocky Jerkic get the PPV money.
Don't think Tim Tszyu will fight Rocky Jerkic , they have spared each other a few times so Tim knows Rocky's good . Bad call if Tim gets to fight Mundine ?.
Rocky has a decent record - only losing once by SD in a Commonwealth title fight that was very close. He also won the same Australian title Junior Tszyu now holds against a defending champion. He went one better than Tszyu by winning by kayo. I'm not really interested in the Mundine fight but presumably the Foxtel paymasters will have a big say on who the opponents are. Let's be realistic. No opponent is going to generate more PPVs than Mundine. Except maybe Horn, but Tszyu isn't ready for him yet.
Yeah true Anthony got da split points win over Jerkic for da Commonwealth title . Anthony Butterguig has not had a fight since winning against Rocky Jerkic , I have heard Anthony suffered a permanent injury an won't be boxin anymore . An yes Jerkic does hav a good profile he just needs to be marketed more buy da Media .
Glad for Jai Opetia finely getting on , Jai hungry as hell this fight will do wonders for him . Just like how Jai accually fight's he can to . Would be nice to cee some promoter marketed Jai Opetia , Rocky Jerkic propley tho .
Liam Paro tonight Gold Coast Angelo Di Carlo . Deadly night of boxin for sure . Time to shine for Liam not just in Australia but da World can check him a his style out , a good outing here showing his talent an what he really has , will do Liam a lot of good . Da undercard looks ok as well . Boxin getting bigger here . Anyone watching these Lad's tonight ..
415 AM fight's Fatik is very zkooled in boxin . Liam has to be at his best a win here be nice for Australian boxin . A good indication of how far Liam could make it at top m.
According to Matt Rose the PPV nunbers were impressive but they should have been after the News Corp media giant backing for the fight. However its seems they have got cold feet with Dwight Ritchie and yes he did beat Camilleri on pts and has a world ranking but it will be a hard sell with the casual fans as he has only 2 ko in 20 wins and the fans want to see a ko. Shane Mosely Jr has no title and world ranking and they need somebody who has some status as it seems there could be the rare occurence of two PPV Aust fighters cards in the same month ( August and Horn vs Zerafa ). A Aust fighter who fill could fill this gap is Aust MW Tej Singh. He is well known in Melb and this would give Tszyu a chance to capture a second Aust Title. Ferocious is chasing a fight with 2 x World Champ Puerto Rican Jose Pedraza. https://greekcitytimes.com/2019/06/...ambosos-knocks-out-venezuelan-pena-in-athens/
These guys over 40 should not be fighting younger stronger guys it is proving to be very dangerous. Last I read Judah is doing better there is a photo of him sitting up in bed with his kids.
How very True that is . Ahah an Tim Tszyu was bein lined up for a bout wit Zab , how crazy is that . these Australian boxer's fightin old men SHAME . Well that's out so what Tim an Team after Mundine now .
