"melodramatic" ? How about claiming GGG was clearly or blatantly robbed? Is that not melodramatic ? Do you disagree that 7-9 were GGG's best rounds? Each of those rounds he was rocked by a big shot (or "hit hard" if that makes you feel better lol) but Canelo wasn't as active in those rounds and GGG seemed to be gaining confidence and outlanding him more. I had it about 8 rounds to 4. 1-4 & 10-12 for Canelo, 7-9 to GGG, 5 and 6 could go either way, so I split em. If you give GGG 4-6 you got a draw. I can't give GGG round 4, I've watched it several times, he was outboxed, round 5 he was losing but he turned the tide in the final minute so I gave it to G. 6 was close could go either way. Any questions ?
A struggle to make weight? Obviously you were in his camp, how was 1 pound such a difference, I saw zero difference in ring canelo, he thought hard throwing sick shots all 12 rounds
2 lbs, not 1. He had to adjust his target weight by 2 lbs, which clearly affected his prepartion since he's been used to making 154. He was clearly drained visibly at the weigh-in. Of course he rehydrated and was re-energized by fight night, but making the catchweight had an effect on his performance and preparation.
Many people thought he was robbed (so no, not melodramatic). Just seems your comments on this are massively biased and skewed. That said, looking at previous posts you seem to be anti-GGG.
Crying robbery is inherently melodramatic. If many people thought he was robbed, what % of those people are hardcore GGG do you think? The vast majority of those that had GGG winning did not claim a robbery. Most who weighed in on the bout recognized it as a close fight. The outrage over the wideness of the Byrd card only fueled the robbery claims, many of those who claimed robbery were doing so over Byrd's wide scorecard in favor of Canelo, not over the result itself. Saying someone got rocked when we see a guy's head snap back and then see a slow mo replay of a guy's face being brutalized is not melodramatic whatsoever. It's what happened. I am not anti-GGG whatsoever, I'm just not influenced by the GGG fest that goes on.
lol shadow still fighting against the whole world, which seems to be composed of "ggg fanboys" who think he beat canelo.
GGG's best win will probably end up being Danny Jacobs. Let that sink in for a minute Danny ****ing Jacobs. He has no one to blame but himself. Fighting too many guys like Rolls, Vanes, Rosado Wade and taking more step aside money than anyone in recent memory. He could have dared to be great and fought Ward but we all know he never wanted that work. His legacy isn't a great one with that said he will probably still get into the HOF even though he doesn't deserve to be there.
GGG > Canelo, going down in history as the one of the greats. Canelo will just be a "good" boxer for his time. GGG to cash out against Canelo and call it a day. Weldone champ.
Nope!! He still the same overrated fighter, difference is when he face elite fighters he looks like a one trick pony!
