Just been looking at the odds on paddy power. I’m baffled...to me, it’s a case of the more aesthetically appealing fighter being fancied for the win here. I agree with you, Pow, Gorman has the all round better skills. Dubois throws with speed & power but there’s not much variety in his movement or shots. I’m not sure he’s going to be able to surprise Gorman with anything.

I believe Dubois best chance is to catch Gorman cold but as of late Dubois appears to pick people apart rather than knock there head off and scramble there brains. If I was to make a case for Dubois to win I could. But I just fancy Gorman but more likely to go for points. I think Dubois will fancy a standing trade especially after Lartey. I don't think Gorman hits harder than that Lardey. My mate I'm going with described this fight as the Primark Fury Joshua fight. Seems about fair.

Haha, that last bit made me chuckle.
Yeah, I think the Kevin Johnson fight was a good learning curve for Dubois (in retrospect) in terms of having to pick fighters apart. Gorman probably doesn’t hit as hard as Lartey as you said, but if Dubois starts to gas he’ll be more susceptible to getting wobbled.

True, the gas tank of Dubois is unproven. Went the distance with Kingpin but that's shouldn't be much harder than having a pad man with a good slap on him. Respect to kingpin though he's a good gatekeeper/journeyman I like what he does for the sport. To play the devils advocate; if Dubois is in punching range and gets Gorman trapped on the ropes he would have a massive advantage there. You don't see many get off the ropes with Dubois and I'd argue we've never seen Gorman in with a bitter like young Daniel. I actually really like both fighters so I can't say I'd mind either way

Crazy that this card is better than the Dullian Whyte card the week after, and that one is PPV!

Gorman will rough Dubois up on the inside and he is lightening quick for a fatman. I don't see any way Dubois can get to him and I suspect he might gas later in the fight. He is a good finisher though so just have to wait and see if Gorman's chin holds up if and when he gets tagged. Intriguing match up of boxer against puncher.

Probably the meeting between two unbeaten domestic prospects that I'm most excited about since Groves Degale way back.

I'll be sticking some money on Gorman to win on points. For some reason I just cant see any other result.

The more I think about it the more I think Gorman on points. He's not got the explosive power that Dubois has but he's looked technically better in his fights, although you could say that that is largely down to Dubois blasting nearly everyone out of there very early on.

Two great prospects putting all on the line very early in their careers, hats off to them both and whatever happens, I hope they have very successful careers.

Genuine 50/50 for me so I think 2/1 is great value for Gorman.
