Tyson Fury is exaggerated, he is not a great boxer

Let's have a look at significant boxers Fury has faced in his career:

Wladimir Klitschko - tricked him with his ugly style, then was scared of facing him again. Ducked him twice. Made up that b*ll**** cocain and depression story to run away from challengers. To tell the truth, he didn't deserve that title shot in the first place. IBF stripped him off his belt, because he escaped from Wlad.

Deontay Wilder - couldn't defeat him

Except those two boxers, he fought nobodies.

So the question is: Why is Fury deemed as the greatest boxer ever? As far as I remember, Cunningham floored him with a swinging right. The way he was knocked down proves he is a below-average boxer. Then he ducked Cunningham, after defeating him by cheating.

What is the fuss about Fury? Another British hype job.

He got to Klit when he got old and all his hype originated there.
He did outbox Wilder, but so did Shpilka and Washington lol. The only difference is that Fury took his punches and got up.

His mouth has won him the plaudits and sympathy.

I watched the Wilder fury fight again but with commentary and he did not win but the biased commentors empathised every single punch Fury threw even if they landed on gloves and praised every single block and slip whilst criticising and undermining the work Wilder was doing that they successfully managed to convince the majority that he won all rounds barring the knock down.

The amount of passes and praise this guy gets even after being a confirmed roid cheat is something that has irked me for a long time

He was way too good for Chisora and Hammer who are solid enough gatekeepers. Still has to prove to me he is at the same level he was at in 2015.

Beat the supposedly “most dangerous heavyweight” coming off the sofa after years of inactivity and made him look silly. Who calls him the greatest boxer ever? He’s definitely the best heavyweight out there.

Exactly who are you comparing him to justify this?

    He outboxed Wilder
He outboxed the long reigning Klitschko
Joshua has just fell off his high horse, so it seems to me that Fury should be favorited as the #1 Heavyweight in the world. Not too bad.

This post smacks of someone who doesn’t remotely understand boxing. What a stupid post

0 breakdown on actual boxing. No mention of tactics, skills or technique besides the "ugly style".

Are you talking about his resume or his boxing ability?

Just because you decide it is confirmed, doesn’t make it so. I’ll go by what UKAD say thanks

He's a very skilled boxer with good movement reflexes and jab he lacks power and commitment to the sport that's his biggest weakness IMO.

In terms of historically, no he isn't.

Let's compare him to his contemporaries.
He has better hand and footspeed/footwork than everyone else in the division (excluding Usyk who technically isn't in the division yet). His movement and combination punching is above average comparing him to his contemporaries. He has never been outboxed (and that includes his fight against an aging ATG), he is also the only person to ever "outbox" that same ATG. His defense for the most part is above average. Quite frankly the fact that he's an extremely mobile boxer puncher at his size is quite amazing.

No one considers Fury the greatest ever, but compared to everyone else around him currently, he is at the top of the mountain concerning boxing skillset. Maybe Povetkin is better, but he's old and shopworn now.

Officially he lost to Hammer, because he tested positive for PEDs
