And I'm telling you how the ratings end up that way. I'm not justifying them, they're terrible, but you can usually figure out how they end up the way they are.

Guillermo Jones has had five fights at heavyweight - against Zack Page, Jeremy Bates, Daniel Cota, Garrett Wilson and Ytaleo Perea.

    He's #42 on Boxrec's all-time heavyweight list.

If you can figure that out, let me know.

I take it the list was made up by a sports student doing a dissertation who has never been in a boxing gym before??

I thought Wikipedia and Google didn't count as sources at uni??!

It generated by an algorithm based entirely on boxrec's record, it's never going to be any good. It's pretty pointless to complain about the rankings on any serious level. There isn't any person coming up with them, they're generated.

No, they just change the algorithm, or add results and the rankings change.

Because the algorithm doesn’t just take his heavyweight fights into account, it includes all his fights and then gives him an overall rating.

What I'm saying is that it still takes the decision of a human being to post it up on their site.

I don't see the problem. It is what it is, and shouldn't be taken too seriously - and if it irritates you, you can just ignore it.

And I do. I'm commenting on it because he's posting about it here. If that irritates you, well......

Grown men yell at a computer for generating an objective list.
