    All these view's of Fury's
They are just an old school Catholic mindset
Not saying they are right at all but its no different from another religions views being out dated

Having a large Irish family tree i know i have family members that will share these viewpoints
Dont really agree with them but its the upbringing and grounding they had

    It is what it is

Very true mate. I have a close relative that was suffering quietly for years, everyone thought he was always Mr Happy. When it came to a head (he is improving greatly with professional help) a couple of members of my family were like 'you have nothing to be depressed about, dont be silly, you just need to think positive and you will shake yourself out of this. When I say the people who said this are by nature very caring and loving it might surprise some, but they are from an older generation who genuinely think depression is someone having a bad day/short period. In fairness when I explained to them how it works they went and bought a book to read up on it and understand it better now.

Fury is, in the most literal of terms, the opposite of a "proven" drug cheat, helmet breath

I like Fury but it’s weird how everyone believes him 100% instead of taking it with a pinch of salt. Mental health is a massive get out of jail free card these days. People throw it around all the time to get time off work.

Not being funny but so what if he’s had it. I feel far more for the man who has to haul his arse out of bed at 4:30 8-12 hours a day and keep going with the monotony to Keep roof over families head on shite money. An (earned) rich fella who trains hard for a few weeks which helps mental health at a time then has a nice break I have less sympathy for. Especially one who has done the drugs and excess he has (I know another sign of mental health issues) if he did the drugs and didn’t have health issues he’d be public enemy number one. If he plays on the mental health again, knowing what today’s sympathetic society is like, all is well. Even his gay comments and abortion comments which people aren’t allowed an opinion on anymore are forgotten.

Like I said I like him but I don’t care if he’s had mental health or not. People go through far worse than him in worse circumstances and have to go back into worse environments and ways of life without people blowing smoke up their arse and an easy lifestyle.

This could all be Fury’s plan as most of you ridicule anyone that won’t beleive his issues. I’m not a Fury hater at all but I don’t care if he had them, no sympathy and I don’t care if he never. Why care so much? Biggest achievement is losing all that weight which probably takes a mentally stable individual to keep going and not go back to his junk food and cocaine.

If you could open up his head to check for evidence what would you expect to find - sawdust?

Why do we, as boxing fans, care about the mental health stuff? Why are we debating it on a boxing forum? He doesn't initiate the mental health talk, reporters do.

The chap is fit and active. I don't care about Fury's mental health one way or another. It certainly doesn't benefit him im the ring where it matters for us boxing fans. I only care about his boxing and he's current ring magazine no.1 with a fight on Saturday and a rematch with Wilder all but scheduled.

Tyson Fury is a master manipulator, which is why he literally has a cult, who turn a blind eye to anything untoward said about him.

Agreed. It's the next monster in the midst. That being said I'd still much prefer Fury fans as they are not obsessed with "muh numbers" etc, at least not yet and he doesn't seem to court Sky Football AM morons as much.

He used it to promote his last fight, and never fails to mention it in every single interview, ''he was at rock bottom'', ''ballooned up to 300lbs'' and ''had it worse than anyone else on the planet''.

Should we then focus on how he managed to lose over 100lbs within a few months? You reckon he did that clean and honest?

Wasn’t he doing lots of after dinner speeches? I’m guessing that mental health stuff will take up much of the talk and he’s certainly not doing them for free.

He did a tour which centered around his battles surrounding mental health along with recounting how he managed to rise back to his feet in round 12. The usual emotional heart string peddling shtick.

Joshua was maybe expecting the ref to pick up his shield and give him a few more secs like he got vs Wlad. That's the only excuse I can give him.

When you lack respect for/do not fear the challenge in front of you, you get distracted by other less important things, things you can’t really control and that in-turn increases anxiety...like will the Americans love me, I need to force a showreel knockout to bring my percentage splits back up in the negotiations, wow i’m in the MSG. That’s why he was chewing on his gum shield and getting his neck rubbed.

Fury needs to be bang on it on Saturday and focus on nothing else but Schwarz. Going to stay up for this after watching Josh and Galahad. Can’t wait.

The broadcasters used it to promote his fight. He very rarely initiates anything about mental health. When asked he speaks about it passionately. He's entitled to tell his story. We're all moving on now but people want to use it as a stick to beat him with because he's back on the no.1 spot.

Fury probably has taken PED's, just like most of the best fighters in the sport. Makes no difference to me. PED's don't give you skills and Fury is the most skilled heavyweight on the planet.
