Good cashout fight for Leapai. He has gone through a lot of personal struggles
in recent yrs. His father died and nearly lost his eye sight and he has six
    children to support.

He's been rather inactive in his return to boxing. He could still make a bit of coin fighting prospects. Would be a decentish step up for local guys like Hemi Ahio, Demsey McKean, Joseph Goodall etc.

The Leapai camp offered Lucas Browne $ 60 000 to fight. Browne never took up the
offer. Domestic fights too much politic's . Aust has many world rated SMW but they
    all avoid each other.

What on 10 days notice? Was always going to be a tickover fight before a step up

Browne had no reason to turn down the fight either. A winnable fight for him and then he goes and complains that he got paid 3k to fight Julius Long and he would have got next to nothing coming over here to fight Junior Pati as well.

Funny I'd would have expected Leapai to be one of the "names" they were feeding Joe in NZ before he won the title...

Admittedly I think Leapai was retired with his eye issue but if you have no money....

Probs won't last too long Alex hasn't fought at a good level for 5 or 6 years now..

That was when Browne thought he was still half decent, now if they offered that he would gobble it up in two minutes...

Always thought a fight with Alex should be part of the Parker rebuild.

Surprised it's taken them this long to make it.

Alex just needs to let the bombs fly & make it fun while it lasts.

Gets Parker back on American TV I guess.
If Parker believes he’s still world class then Leapai shouldn’t be remotely competitive
