That is completely irrelevant. Canelo needs to fight the rest of the division. Or GGG next.

Ok, so here are Canelo's fights at MW.

    1. Miguel Cotto WBC MW champion, Lineal MW champion (155 lbs per Cotto's request)
    2. Amir Khan Tune up fight (155 lbs per Khan's request)
    3. Gennady Golovkin IBF, WBA, WBC champion
    4. Gennady Golovkin IBF, WBA, WBC champion
    5. Daniel Jacobs IBF MW champion

Bad ass MW resume in only 5 fights. Looks a lot better than GGGs entire resume.

    No he doesn't.

He can fight a tune up if he wishes, after all he just fought GGG and Jacobs within 8 months, unless he has a mandatory, then he needs to fight him.

GGG can wait for his turn like a good boy he is.

Golovkin fought a roided Canelo 2X, Jacobs, Vanes, and Rolls in his last 5 fights. He's 38 years old in August. Canelo is 28 years old and in his physical prime. Golovkin is ancient in boxing years. Both guys need to fight each other or DA/SD/BJS.

GGG's resume at MW is not in question. You look it the depth he has Lemieux, Canelo x 2, Jacobs, Murray, Wade, Rubio, Rosado and a bunch of recognizable names in the division.

i tihnk you mean Lemmy, Jacobs and Canelo as the top tier.

but its true that Canelo has a top tier of GGG, JAcobs, Cotto, which is definitely better, but not my much.

Canelo may have a better MW rsume in his 5 MW fights than 3G is his 40 BUT 3G's is still ok. Just simply Canelo has better.

it dont matter, we all know 3G will finish with 5 times what Canelo has at MW.

GGG's birthday is in April, not August.

I don't think you do because they are different situations. I can only give my personal take:

-Canelo is not just a big money opponent. The fight was for lineal recognition, title unification, and an opponent thought of as the second best middleweight in the world and a pound for pound elite. Golovkin vs Canelo is the type of fight that should be made.

-Cotto was seen as a cherry pick. He was aging, had been upset by Trout, and was moving up in weight. Cotto was Martinez's first opponent in 14 months. All the while Golovkin was seen as the most dangerous and deserving MW. This fight was panned by everyone except Cotto fans, that felt his name recognition earned him the right to be a sacrificial lamb to any Champion in any division.

-Canelo vs Cotto, I'm less critical of this though it sucked Golovkin had to wait. Cotto vs Geale was the stupid fight that wasted time. The biggest criticism of Canelo vs Cotto isn't the fight itself, but that Golovkin had been frozen out for 3 years up to this point. I'm far more critical of Canelo trashing the WBC belt and not facing Golovkin for two years.

So we have a near 5 year period where Golovkin was seen as the most best middleweight but couldn't get within sniffing range of the lineal Champion. That is frustrating for fans.

Like you said, Canelo is 28, he started gunning for the top fighters right away, he is building a very nice legacy for himself and seems like he will continue to do so. He's already surpassed GGG, and he doesn't owe GGG any favors either.

Canelo has never given me any reason to doubt that he will fight the best. I'm fairly confident he will.

The GGGoons such as yourself always claimed he wouldn't fight Lara, he did, he wouldn't fight GGG, he did, and he wouldn't fight Jacobs he did. He's proven you wrong time and time again.

I doubt doubt he will continue to fight the best as he has the better part of the last decade.

Do you ever post anything thought provoking or do you just come because you enjoy insulting others?

As a world titlist its pretty weak. Its full of B and mostly C level opponents, especially when you consider he could have fought better opposition.

For example you listed Rosado, but he could have fought Lara or Andrade at that time. You listed Rubio but he could have fought Trout. Lemieux made sense because he was the IBF titlst, but nothing to write home about.

Everyone wants to fight Canelo due to the pay days involved. Rightly or wrongly Golovkin didn't have that luxury. He may have folded in one of the fights we never saw him in. He may have been exposed. He may even have turned big fights down after winning a couple and securing his finances. We simply do not know how he would of done in his prime and in my opinion that's a damn shame.

If you think so little of Golovkin's resume, why do you rate him so highly when evaluating Canelo?

    In this same period period:

Rubio, Murray, Monroe Jr, Lemieux, Brook, Jacobs, Vanes, Canelo x2.
