Ruiz beating AJ seriously shook up the division. Ortiz has a pretty good chance to win, and if he does, then what? How would Ortiz fit in to the Ruiz/Fury conversation?
I don't see how it changes anything at the top. Winner of Wilder/Ortiz vs Fury. The other side of the bracket will get worked out in late 2020, hopefully. The fly in the ointment would be a Wilder victory followed by a Ruiz win over Joshua, which might prove too tempting for Haymon to try to unify. Depends on how binding the agreement is for Wilder/Fury II, I reckon.
I enjoy watching Doublechin and MVC cry and then I give up on today's fight game and spend my days as a hermit searching for Harry Greb footage
It's possible, to which then Ortiz, would have to rematch wilder again which puts back the possibility of seeing an undisputed HW champion
There would be no shame in losing to Ortiz, considering he's never lost to anyone else and would show why the other top hws in the division ducked him for years.
If Ortiz stops Wilder, there would be a trilogy, and Wilder-Ortiz would probably go down as one of the greatest heavyweight trilogies of all time. And both would make it to the Hall of Fame.
If Ortiz beats Wilder, then Wilder will wait until Ortiz is even older before taking the rubber match!!!
I dont think it would be such a big surprise. Deontay has a lot of flaws and Ortiz almost KOed him last time.
Then an even bigger grin will spread across IB's face than spread across @CST80's when Ruiz kayoed AJ.
History will be made if that happens, first fight between latino vs latino for the all the belts in heavy weight history
Your forgetting something though..... I like Ortiz more than I like Wilder. That would make me grin as well.
Lol fair play.I like Ortiz as well,in fact there's nothing to dislike about him, quality boxer with a good demeanour about him,age aside he's more real than Fury,Joshua and Wilder who all make me cringe.
