R.McCraken`s advise to AJ in his fight with Ruiz was lousey surely he needs to fire him and lean some balance when punching and moving, do fans agree?
I thought his urging of a gassing AJ to 'C'mon Josh, get busy' was bad advice. But in all honesty I think he could see Ruiz had his boy's number that night and couldn't really offer anything better...
No trainer has ever existed that could've helped Joshua that night against Ruiz. If McCracken couldn't help him, no one could
Stop punching youself off balance gett off the center line stop being so stationary after punching work on your balance, he didn`t know anything.
McCraken is not the greatest trainer of all-time! Cus D`Amato wa one of the greatest, Mike Tyson had far better fundamentals tan AJ, McCraken is not in the same league as the all-time great trainers.
AJ is not in the league with ATG Heavyweights and it has nothing to do with who his trainer is , it could have been mccraken, mcdonald or mcchiken AJ would still lost. I also think one of the reasons AJ lost is because he couldn’t juice the way he’s allowed in UK .
He couldn't say anything else to him, imo keep it long was perfect, as soon as he mixed it he was coming off second best to a faster counter puncher.. He wouldn't even keep it long either, his jab looked like Price's, just pawing, no power and not using it full stop majority of the time
McCracken is technically better than all the great coaches of the past. We've Evolved, McCracken is a hybrid
I think AJ was keeping that low left and pawing out his jab because he was fazed by Ruiz's speed and wanted to better see the punches coming by keeping it low and pawing because the speed was messing with his timing. Weird performance all round tbh..
