    Let's get one thing straight. Gassiev the supposed crude pressure fighter did a far superior job of out boxing Dorticos than the slick American and he did it with 100% clean boxing and not by cheating.

    I'm surprised Edison Miranda was able to go the distance with Dorticos. Miranda was stopped by Bute, Abraham, and Pavlik; although none of those guys are feather-fisted I doubt they hit as hard as Dorticos.

    Gassiev isn't crude it's just that he isn't flashy (he doesn't have dazzling handspeed or footspeed). Gassiev is actually a really good boxer who also happens to have world-class power. Sure he got schooled by Usyk but I think the aforementioned speed-gap is what did him in, not his boxing skills. It was a bad style match-up for Gassiev (and to be fair, Usyk might be P4P #1, no shame in losing to him).

    Could have been the case that Miranda was always a natural CW and affected his punch resistance by boiling down, or could have been old veteran syndrome. Not the first time a weird anomaly like that has happened.
