Compare this to the Wellborn vs Metcalf bout before hand.

One used excessive movement to compliment their boxing style, negate the opponent and win the bout. Very pleasing to watch.

Then there's Kid Galahad who, enabled by an incompetent referee, clinched, moved and spoiled everytime he could.

Yet the latter was a world title bout.

There’s no better indication of how bad a fight was that how quickly the rbr thread dies after the fight lol

Maybe not against Maidana but against Pacquiao he held on for dear life whenever Pacquiao got inside. It’s spoiling and is a perfectly legal tactic which is why I’m surprised everyone is getting on Galahad’s case

this fight has no bearing on how Warrington would do against LSC / Valdez

Those two would also struggle if they werent allowed to work on the inside by a 126lb Okolie

The difference is that Pacquaio wasn't willing to take any risks, either. They just stood there staring at each other. Warrington actually was trying to make the fight and take chances, which is why I gave him the benefit of the doubt.

The only truly negative Mayweather performance, imo, was Baldomir. And he was roundly criticized for that one.

Why are you trying to argue the case for spoiling, aren't you a fan of the sport?

He did leave the ring quickly but turned up to the post fight press conference alongside Warrington. Both fighters embraced and both Kid and Ingle were pretty humble in defeat and praised Josh, saying that they fancy him to beat Valdez. Neither man made any excuse and Ingle acknowledged the fight could have gone either way.

I love how ppl are writing josh off because of a tricky night with a switch hitting ingle fighter.. Like any other FWs in boxing fight like they do anyway LOL Who else is a slick, switch hitting wrestler at FW? No one..

Galahad potentially is the most negative & awkward style in the FW division & Josh beat him.. Give him his due. Ye the fight never got flowing because of the wrestling.. But base your next Warrington outing pick on this one at your peril. Boxing is & always has been about styles..

& less we forget, all fighters have hard nights.. Calzaghe Reid, Fury McDermott, Froch Groves etc

Best resume at FW. Give the guy his due.. 29-0. Never been dropped. Always brings it.. It's not his fault he got dry humped.

I don't think Warrington was as bad as people are saying he was. Galahad made it awkward for him and made him look ugly with his wild swings at times but Galahad barely threw anything in return. A painful watch similar to Parker v Hughie but not as bad as that. The scorecards that went in favour of Warrington were about right imo.
