It was literally the same move Rocky Balboa used in his street fight against Tommy Gunn. Half nelson followed by rabbit punch. Nothing wrong with Briedis retaliating. Most of the guys complaining about how dirty Briedis is are the same ones who chastised Lomachenko for not retaliating against Salido. "What an amateur, this is the pros, gotta respond with dirty tactics when confronted with them" Horrid reffing aside Briedis looked spectacular. The looping counter punch he caught Glowacki with while pivoting for the first KD was something else. Sharp as hell. Also Glowacki who is tough as nails clearly couldn't handle Briedis' next level power.

Elbow was nasty, he should’ve had more self-control but knockdown is on Byrd. No control over the fight, chaos in the ring and both men still in the fight whilst the bell kept ringing and what he’s doing? he’s doing his best deer in headlights impression, obviously trying to outperform Steve Mazzagati
