Which of these boxing ratings are the best? And in what order would you place them. No poll's here as I would need more than 10 options. Just list them all #1 to #4 Ring Magazine https://www.ringtv.com/ratings/ IBO computer rankings: https://www.iboboxing.com/rankings/heavy.html Box Rec rankings: http://boxrec.com/en/ratings WBC/WBA/IBF " Alphabet rankings" Which had Schwart at #4 for one body, and Bryant at #1 for another at heavyweight. http://www.wbaboxing.com/wba-ranking#.XQbV_C2ZNTY For me 1 ) Ring Magazine, the gold standard. While not perfect, they seem to best reflect the talent out there. 90% of the people agree their top 5 belong in the top 10. I do think they are a tad slow to rate the shining stars on the way up, and a tad slow to downgrade the very older vets. I also think their way of picking a champion is the best. Either beat him or beat the #2 or #3 contender as the #1 contender. 2A ) IBO They seem to spot the younger talent on the way up a bit faster. The quality of opponents beaten is interesting. On the other hand at times they jump the gun. 2B ) Box rec. Their formula is difficult to explain, but to get in their top 10 takes some work. Main issues to me are ranking of very old fighters, and having to rely on the official results without any wiggle room. 15 ) The Alphabet organization ratings. I'd put ESPN and many others over them.
