Based on Wilder’s and Fury’s last performance who do you favor in the rematch?

Wilder is looking noticeablly bigger these days, he is putting on size for his rematch for damn sure, already over 10+ more in the Breazeale fight.

Fury hit Wilder with much hard shots than he did Schwarz, and much more often. While Wilder stumbled at times, he proved he can take whatever Fury dishes out.

Whereas Wilder made a HUGE statement in KOing breazeale with one shot, in one round... a guy who is proven to be durable as ****.

    Wilder may have Fury's card.

Most people who think Wilder will win base their analysis on predicting Wilder will come in heavier in the rematch, also Wilder knows how Fury fights now, same can apply to Fury but Wilder knows he can take his punches, imo Wilder has the psychological advantage in the rematch because despite many people thinking he lost the first fight he still did what he was supposed to do, Fury was supposed to avoid getting hit by Wilder and he couldn‘t do it.

He may or may not have the psychological advantage - no one can be sure. But one thing we can be sure of is Fury has the talent and ring IQ advantage, and traditionally the superior boxer does better in rematches as they are more capable of making the right adjustments. And you have to factor in, Fury will have less ring rust than for the first fight and better fitness. But I do agree with you that Wilder has a puncher's chance....

Other than a couple of lapses from a 50% Fury he took Windmill to school. This time he's going to take Windmill to nursery.

To be fair, it's hard not to get hit by someone like Wilder for a full 12 rounds.. I think it's too tall a task.

Besides, Fury style is to be loose, fluid, unpredictable... showboat with his hands behind his back, his not into the full concentration mode. Wilder is however, fully concentrated at all times... that's one of Wilders best qualities he doesn't switch off. He could beat the sun in a staring contest.

It‘s also a matter of perspective, if you think Fury was only at 50% for the first fight you have to make him a favorite in the rematch, i for one think he was near his best and he won‘t be in much better shape in the rematch, the difference will be negligible.

Wilder was at his career lowest weight in the first fight and there was a 40+ pounds difference between them which is massive even for heavyweights and he still managed to knock him down 2 times, a bigger version of Wilder will be more confident knowing that he already put him down twice.

I expect a much more aggressive Wilder in the rematch.

But i do agree that usually the superior boxer does better in the rematch, Wilder is unusual though.

Agreed. Wilder has perfected a fight style which best works for him. He creates bridgeheads for KOs and isn't really too bothered about racking up points because he backs his power. Fair enough, it's worked well so far. This is the intriguing part: will the extra weight create the extra power to make sure Fury doesn't get up next time or will the slight loss of speed and endurance by being bigger mean he wouldn't be able to do in the 12th what he did in the first fight?

Luckily, both fighters are prepared to sign on the dotted line and actually get in the ring, albeit with an 18-month gap. I don't think Fury should feel any heat for allowing Bob to push it back a bit. He got badly hurt and back-to-back fights with someone like Wilder is not too advisable and also, off the back of the Wilder fight, he suddenly landed a big fat contract with ESPN which is worth milking for a while.

And he's earned the right after traveling to take on Wilder after such a long time our of the ring.

But they'll fight again, no doubt about that.

I highly favor DW especially after seeing shcarz land cleanly all through the 2 rounds. If that was any other top teir fighter need be bashed for losing badly only to get the lucky tko.

DW will certainly be too much again, he'll land clean and early because he has Fury all figured out. That might be the reason Fury totally changed his approach and he had shcarz as his test dunmy.

Sharz landed moreclean shots in Fury than Fury landed on DW. Except jabs Fury did **** all

It is Fury's fight to lose. Anything can happen. I think Fury will go for the ko this time...and get it.

Lets get it right, Wilder gave him the opportunity which meant Fury didn't have to climb the rankings and earn his shot the hard way. He did Fury a favor, so please refrain from this ''he's earned the right'' bull****.

Dope fiends who served bans have not earned any right, they are given the privilege of being given a second chance.

I guess y’all forgot Fury not only got up from Wilders best punch in the 12th but went on to whoop him the rest of the final round and even had his eye shut by the end

Please refrain? Very politely asked, equally politely declined. Good day to you, squire....

I think that Fury will be much better in the re-match than he was in the first.. I can't see Wilder being any better - for one he's getting fairly old, for two his strengths are all about things like speed and power which may well have already peaked. Not saying he's going to be worse, but he might be, just he won't be better.

I love Fury, and wouldn't be surprised at any result from 3rd round KO to points win. But Wilder has a puncher's chance, and, given how much of a puncher he is, his puncher's chance is pretty massive.
