Should Andy Ruiz try to get in better shape, or just keep doing what he's doing?

    Yes and no.
Of course if he wanted to be in optimal shape he would have to loose a lot of weight. But he then would end up just a tiny heavyweight.

I think he should drop down to the 240s or so. It would be a less of a strain on his body. The **** he is doing now, it's actually working. But maybe they might want to optimize it a bit.
I wonder what his strength and conditioning routine is like. Because from the few clips I have seen, the dude can ****ing move.

Out of Whole Milk for cereal?? Just put some root beer instead
I've seen better footwook from middle school kids no offense nothing impressive or nothing really skillful in the vid.
Joe Joyce now that is a freak of nature

Well, it was a basic drill. But he moves really well for someone his size.
He doesn't look like an obese man. Yet he was close to 270 in his last fight.

No, he clearly feels comfortable at his weight, and that can sometimes be the most important thing for a fighter. Course, he should probably try to slim down for the sake of his overall health, but that's another matter entirely.

I'm sorry I'm spoiled I've seen colleges ball players naturally twice Andy's size make Ruiz look like a child training to make Jr varsity lolz.

I'm not joking that video did not showcase Ruiz's skills.

Ruiz has very good footwork turning opponents off punches from YEARS of sparring. He can be crafty in the ring because he has been consistent since before 10 years old at Boxing

Joe Joyce even said Ruiz struggled 2 - 4 rds with Charles Martin give me a break

His appalling conditioning shows his lack of desire, lack of discipline and lack of professional attitude.

Right now, he looks a look like a dumb redneck who won $50 million in the lottery. They usually go broke within three years time because they have no idea what it (usually) takes to earn that kind of money over the span of a lifetime.

There are some fighters that I think will never be skinny. Arreola, Ruiz, and Kownacki

However, they could stand to be a little lighter. Say he was 268 for his last fight maybe this time come in around 250 to 260. That is in a drastic or detrimental weight cut but I believe there will be benefits and stamina and speed. Saying that he should get down to 230 or say he was 268 for his last fight maybe this Time come in around 250 to 260. That isn’t a drastic or detrimental weight cut but I believe there will be benefits in stamina and speed. Saying that he should get down to 230 or so especially for the rematch to me screams bad idea

He's in the best shape he can be. He'll never have a sculpted body and he doesn't need one to have an optimum level of fighting fitness.

Under his layer of skin he's solid strong and fit.

Footspeed. He needs more of it to get inside on Joshua if Joshua decides to try to win a boring decision in the rematch.

Losing weight would help in that department.

David Tua and Mike Tyson both lost their footspeed as they got older and put on weight.

So did James Toney and David Haye at Heavyweight

He just beat the consensus no1 HW on the planet so I'm not sure why he needs to lose some weight..

You realize you are on the internet right? No one gives a **** about what you've seen especially when you are coming off like a douchebag. Jealous much?
