Eddie Hearn says “He will never admit that but the fact that I am the challenger now, I am not this champion who has four belts and who everyone expects me to win all the time. It’s kind of like the pressure is off.”

''Anthony has this massive pressure on his shoulders all the time. He is the first megastar of boxing in (the United Kingdom), and it was almost like a relief to him.''

    Well well well.

Chickens come home to roost once again.

Even Eddie knows his boy quit.

How many times did I stress how happy Joshua was to lose. Joining in celebration with Ruiz's team, laughing and joking with them post fight as he was a top Ruiz Jr fanboy.

    Look at the joy....

He probably read your post and thought it was a good excuse to use.

    An Eddie Hearn says interview.

    Oh, don't you believe it?

He also conceded today that the fight will likely take place in America again

I think you may have missed the most interesting angle to come out of this quote -- AJ's response to people in general suggesting he is relieved to have the pressure off:

"As long as you know where you stand with your s—, good and bad, that’s all that matters," Joshua said. "People are always going to interpret the story however they f— want. … As long as you stay true to yourself and know where you stand in a situation, you’ve got nothing to worry about."

That was made during an Insta Live chat soon after Hearn had said what you quoted. Not directly in response but in the ball park of being one.

There appears to be strains within the Hearn/Sky/Joshua axis....

I omitted that intentionally otherwise the op would have proved too long for lower minds to read.

    Maybe.

Joshua is young and talented, and has been put in the deep end from day one.

Where are all those contract lawyers who said the fight will be in the UK and Hearn rules all?

He's boxing's version of a young pop megastar groomed from a young age who suddenly just needed a pressure release and im/ex ploded.

Similar stories of this nature are legion.

Even in the vid above "Eddie said" that Joshua was busy fulfilling "obligations"...even now he can't let it go.

This ain't pressure. Try Pacman's gloves on for size. His gloves have the weight of a nation on them. Now that's pressure.

On the Brit board mainly. "Bu buu bu, it's written in, it' a contract, Eddie said, end of".

Lot of kids and losers masquerading as big-time businessmen/lawyers etc. You can sense real-world experience a mile off, and it's painfully missing in almost all of MRFC's missives.
