he is a superstar, of course if he ever needs Eddie Hearn it is now.

If he left Hearn it would be because he does not want another defeat to Ruiz and does not believe in himself,which is the worst thing he can do.

No if he leaves Hearn it would quite simply be to keep more of his earnings for himself. I don't expect him to even considering leaving Hearn before the Ruiz rematch but if he beats Ruiz the world is his oyster.

I didnt believe he was superman, but nor do i believe his career is over or he needs to rebuild at york hall etc. Hes had one loss, people lose when there fighting at the top level particuarly at heavyweight. Do i fancy him to beat fury or wilder? No, but he has a chance and is better than almost everyone else in the division.

I totally understand there are many levels to boxing and there has to be constructive criticism, but all this bum, should retire, hes got no heart, bruno mark 2 etc talk is daft. Bruno won a world title on his 4th attempt, never mind a 4th loss, he wouldnt have done that if he had turned it in at the first set back

 

I don't see AJ ever leaving Hearn. Matchroom and sky done an unbelievable job matching and promoting him. The Ruiz situation is a disaster but what'll be achieved leaving Hearn? AJ wants those belts back as much as Eddie. If he's beaten again I'm sure even money mad Hearn will allow a rebuilding process.

Hearn has been great for British boxing in general and the job he has done with Joshua is remarkable..if anything the defeat to Ruiz shows how good a job Hearn has done with a boxer who is far from invincible , honestly for your own sanity and sake mate it would be nice if you started taking impartial view and not blinded by hatred.

Anyone can see he has job a tremendous job with Joshua though, even in defeat to Ruiz it has enhanced his reputation in the states because more people know him.

The rematch will do double the PPV buys and sell out another stadium, whilst earning Joshua more millions.

if that isn't good promotion then I think your expectations are to high.

 

I still think Joshua is a top heavyweight. He is beatable but most of us knew that anyway apart from the Hearn fanboys and the huge casual fanbase that fills those stadiums. That aura of invincibility that has now evaporated from being starched by a fat man will dent his commercial brand but it will evolve and take on a new narrative...one of a comeback to claim back what’s his etc. I struggle to stomach Hearn, I find him deplorable...but he knows how to spin a narrative, and he knows that’s what gets people on board. That’s what Joshua’s commercial brand needs.

I’m more interested in what he does from now on in terms of hunger & desire to improve though...does he still want it as bad as he did??? The message in Hearn’s interviews to me suggests that the defeat did not initially hurt him like it should...but that Hearn expects that hurt to really kick in over the coming weeks. I found that quite telling and I wonder if others picked up on that?
