    It was Matchroom Boxing not Hearn’s own wallet. Do you have any idea how companies operate? If Hearn clocked it today it would be business as usual and the money for fights isn’t going to just stop.

    Hearn took AJ up and down the country when he was starting out to see him knock people out in spectacular fashion to generate interest and create a fan base for him.

    I was actually wondering who put the money up for the Martin fight ? Martin got a guarantee of $5M alongside a PPV Split. So who put up the guarantee?

    Where did Hearn actually get the money from ? Another part of Matchroom’s Business as a long term investment? Or a loan from a financial institution ?

    Not sure about that as in America he is the big stiff robotic fighter who got banjoed 4 times on a media outlet hardly anyone has heard of let alone uses.

    I don't think Joshua is going it alone just yet, I think he stays with Matchroom for his contract.
    But I think there's good reason to suspect he won't be fighting Ruiz rematch next, and when he does next fight there will be changes to his trainer/corner.

    To what extent does that matter though? Serious question. Titles? He won plenty. Money? He's earned an absolute fortune miles beyond any other active heavyweight.

    I’m not saying it matters. It’s in retort to the ignoramus OP’s futile argument that Hearn has somehow enhanced AJ’s reputation in the US. I’m one of the posters here who has zero regard for the opinions of the casual fan base.
