    He's too much of a Wlad fan for me to take him seriously. Almost all his posts have to do with Wlad in some way and how great he was. Can't be dealing with that level of fanboyism.

    The appeal of the underdog, I guess. And he's not bad at all as a boxer. Still fights as a tall fighter, which is dumb, but that's another story.

    This forum is hardly an outlier.

    For instance RING has listed Povetkin as a top 10 HW for 12 straight years (2007-present *bar a suspension in 2016)

    If Wlad and Vitali hadn't been around he'd have had a belt or two for sure. And Wlad might not have fared so well against him without smothering him to death, either.

    Not sure about highly regarded but the guy has my respect. Got absolutely bullied and beaten by Klitschko and didn’t quit and kept coming forward for more. He won some fights and lost some fights he was usually in exciting fights and did his best. Can’t really ask for more than that. Was willing to fight anyone other than the Klitschko duck but he ultimately fought him.

    This about sums it up :monoloco:

    It's like the anti-vaxxer and flat Earthers who use the fact that people explain why they are wrong using "overly complicated words and explanations" to prove their own argument.... not understanding something is not proof that you are right. FAR from it.

    When he had the WBA regular belt he struggled to win a questionable decision over Huck, a cruiser, and defended against stalwarts like shot old man Rahman, Wawrjec and Cedric Boswell.

    More lately he feasted on euro buns and people on here creamed themselves every time.

    At his best, juiced to the gills on PEDs, he was a B-plus player.
