That's why I've got Buster beating him . Obviously it's got to be Douglas at his very best ie Tyson fight , the version that's come to win and isn't bothered about a reputation. That James Douglas would whip Wilder ,he'd beat him and have him looking beat before the tenth round .I can actually see Wilder being stopped around the 10 th , Buster possibly more dominant than Fury.
That version of Douglas was sharp, determined and in form. His jab alone would have Wilder in deep waters. I say Douglas shreds him.
The question should be is can Wilder actually fight? At least on the level of a well trained professional fighter? Douglas was a well trained professional fighter whose biggest issue was his lackadaisical attitude to training. But if he is motivated, Wilder would pose little threat to Douglas .
Yet he put arguably the best boxer in the division flat on his back...... If Wilder clips Douglas it's lights out.
The best boxer in division who had very long break from the sport and was rusty as hell. Yet he completely dominated the fight outside of lucky knockdown and even after the KD, Fury won the end of the fight. This fight, if anything, proves that Wilder is a sloppy finisher and very unrefined puncher.
Who also happens to **** all over Douglas defensively, better footwork and head movement. There's no such thing as a lucky knockdown you pudding, or two in Wilder's case. I'll tell you who is lucky, Fury is lucky that right hand didn't land perfectly or he would still be seeing stars.
Yeah, but any perfectly landed right hand can KO opponent in HW division. Wilder failed to stop him with his shot and he failed to stop him after the punch. Many fighters would have done better in his place with hurt Fury. Wilder's workrate isn't great either, what makes him more dangerous than Tokyo Tyson?
The facts are he is adept at doing such! I have a feeling Fury wasn't as hurt as everyone makes out, he got up on very strong legs. So it's one of two, Fury wasn't as hurt as once thought or he made a miraculous recovery.
Yes, he wasn't as hurt as many believe. The point is that Wilder hasn't proved anything to suggest he's all-time great puncher. Maybe in terms of power, but that's far from the only thing that makes puncher dangerous.
He's proved it as good as any thus far, name me better? The facts are though you don't have to be an ATG puncher to knock Douglas out.
Outside of Fury (who he didn't stop) and Ortiz, Wilder didn't face anyone significant. Better punchers than Wilder? Bob Fitzsimmons Sam Langford Jack Dempsey Joe Louis Rocky Marciano Sonny Liston Joe Frazier George Foreman Mike Tyson Lennox Lewis Wladimir Klitschko Are much better than him. Then we have: James Jeffries Harry Wills Max Baer Max Schmeling Joe Walcott Floyd Patterson Archie Moore Evander Holyfield Vitali Klitschko and probably many others I don't have memory to name who are at least comparable and probably more proven.
