How can you say that when he has a better knockout record than all? He hits harder than any on that list IMO.

You still haven't addressed the point that you don't have to be an ATG puncher to flatten Douglas.

More effective against elite competition. Not necessary harder - I'm sure that Frazier didn't hit as hard as Wilder but Joe was clearly better puncher than him. More accurate, better workrate, tougher to aviod.

Exactly, he's stopped everyone he's ever faced bar two fights and knocked the other one clean out in the rematch. What more does Wilder have to do.

How can you say he was more effective, Wilder has shown to be a very effective puncher if nothing else!

I don't care about who hits harder. Any fighter from that list could KO any opponent with solid punch.

He has better KO record because he fought like 4 fights among decent contenders and over 30 against nobodies. What is so strange to understand here? Even Ernie Shavers faced better competition than him.

Not against good competition, when he failed to stop opponents twice. He stopped Ortiz though, so I can't say he can't do that.

You seem to forget he sparked one of those out in the rematch, he also flattened an opponent 40lb heavier. Not doing bad thus far......

    Foreman:

    Frazier
    Norton
    Lyle
    Moorer
All better wins than Wilder's best.
Not to mention that he also faced far better fighters in Ali and Holyfield.

    Liston:

    Patterson
    Machen
    Folley
    Williams
All better than Wilder's best win.
Not to mention that he faced far better fighter in Ali.

I said that Shavers faced better competition, not beat better one. But he still has Norton on his resume.

Good for him, that would be a small weight difference in Fitzsimmons record.

So Foreman knocked out a shot fighter in Frazier, a chinny fighter in Norton who was sparked out by just about every big puncher he faced and Lyle who was far from being a great fighter.

Liston knocked out a much smaller Patterson who had a weak chin, none of the other victories put any of Wilder's to shame.

Please stop trying to compare Fitzsimmons with Wilder, it's impossible.
