    McCallum, R.Jones and Mayweather Jr were all masters at retreating and landing the hook like Floyd did when stopping Hatton, but who used it the best and the most consistently?

    Thomas Hearns was about the best I’ve seen with it.

    Watch how he controlled Cuevas with it in the first round before he became more aggressive and attacking in the second. He utilized it throughout the Benitez fight with good effect in a much more tactical affair. He had Roldan’s head on a tether with it every time the crude Argentine rushed in.

    It’s there in all sorts of different styles of fight consistently throughout the Hit Man’s career.
