Why is Pacquiao rarely mentioned? He's tough as hell. Yes, he's been KO'd but he's still tough. Marquez too. Or is tough now just having an unbreakable iron chin?
Some of the toughest SOB's I've seen were Randall Tex Cobb, Antonio Margarito, Arturo Gatti & Joe Frazier. Neither one had the word QUIT in their dictionary. Nothing fancy at all just out & out FIGHTERS!!!!!!!!!!!
TC: "Yeah, I've been KO'd. Once. By a Mexican bantamweight. How come? Six of my buddies were swinging him around by the heels at the time."
Manny Pacquiao is a goddamn warrior. Juan Manuel Marquez is a goddamn warrior. GGG, Margarito, pre-Crawford Khan, Ghatti, Rosado, Mickey Ward, Bradley...
Mayorga had so much iron in his chin he let Trinidad and others have multiple free shots at it. They connected and he still would not budge. However, that type of bravado is what eventually cracked it. Had he not been so foolish his chin would have stayed strong.
Looked great vs. bums. Never got past the 3rd round vs. the 180 Lb. Satterfield LKOby3, Liston LKOby3 and LKOby2, or Ali LKOby3. He was usually the bigger man, hard to measure his toughness when he got to be the bully in most of his wins. Only notable fighter he beat was Terrell KO7 but he also lost the rematch by decision. He had a draw with Eddie Machen.
