Wilder vs Fury next (WBC)

    WBC could force their hand if they’re going to call the mandatory next. Wilder would have to take the Fury fight now and scrap the Ortiz match. Would be a good call by the WBC and give us Fury/Wilder next and then the winner vs Whyte afterwards.

    I really hope that Whyte never finds himself in the ring with Wilder- he will lose in devastating fashion.

    So will Ortiz. I think Whyte has more chance of remaining alive afterwards though.

    It makes total sense, but this is boxing we're talking about, so it won't happen.

    I’m not too familiar with their rules but it would appear that if you’re outside the top 50 (Seferi, Pianetta, Schwarz) you’re mandatory. Wilder must’ve been a voluntary.

    To be fair, they did order Wilder-Fury 2, albeit on a 60-40 split. They also ordered Kovalev-Stevenson.

    Wilder's just fought a mandatory, the next one isn't due for quite some time.

    I think Wilder Fury 2 was 55-45 weren’t it? But to even order the rematch was great work on their part.
