You may be right, Floyd still may have enough tricks to outpoint Canelo. It could happen, but isn't it interesting how many differing views we see on this topic. We have everything from Canelo murdering Floyd at 160 to "Floyd KO7 Clenelo". I tend to side with you that it would likely be another high level chess match. Even at 42 Floyd still is a supremely skilled boxer. I do think Canelo at this stage has enough to get the win, but you can never count FMJ out even at 42, even giving away weight coming in closer to 154 vs Canelo at 160, it's still close and a fascinating chess match imho.

Like how he was in GGG 2 ? If he fought that way maybe he could knock Floyd out but I think Canelo respects Floyd a lot and would engage in a chess match yet again. You always hear a younger fighter showing an older fighter too much respect in the ring. I think Canelo would show Floyd too much respect again and wouldn't be aggressive vs Floyd.

Same thing as the first time, only Canelo's MD loss miraculously turns into a UD win.

You don't think Floyd slowing down since their first fight would be a factor ? And Canelo has gotten better since then no ?

Canelo has gotten better, that means he might win 4 or 5 rounds, which is 3 or 4 more than he won last time.

    Canelo wins.

Floyd's retired and was never a middleweight in the first place. Let him have his peace.

OK and Floyd has slowed down too but I know how tough you are on Canelo when it comes to him winning rounds. You really make Canelo earn his rounds, Canelo has to win a round really clearly to earn a 10-9 on a CST scorecard.

Yeah, like most fighters, I tend to only give people rounds when they actually win them.

Do you man at 160 ?

    If so, Canelo takes this.

    Without breaking a sweat.

Floyd's last two fights were in 2015 and 2017, and he looked washed in both. Why would anyone expect to see anything other than an old, shot to sh*t Mayweather in there? What would happen? For the first time ever, we'd see the inevitable, but still shocking knockout of Floyd Mayweather Jr. Either that, or he'd get in maxium shape for his age and mileage, and do enough to survive, but lose 10-2, 11-1.

Honestly... I think todays Canelo beats Mayweather and McGregor back to back the night they fought, and Mays even older and rustier since then.

Wow, you guys are dumb or trolling. Floyd fought a completely drained (152) and much greener Canelo.

PED abuse aside, Canelo's evolution as a boxer and fighter is insanely impressive. Is Canelo twice as good as the version Floyd fought in terms of boxing IQ? No. But he's at least 50% better and has improved on everything across the board.

At 154, Canelo would be a corpse again and Floyd would win a decision.

it wouldn't be an "Easy" fight for either one ...I agree that Canelo gave mayweather to much respect .
