    Once again.
He's been in the same range for years.
    His weights
    Jason Gavern 245
    Raphael Zumbano 248
    Kevin Johnson 248
    Gary Cornish 249
    Dillian Whyte 245
    Charles Martin 244
    Dominic Breazeale 243
    Eric Molina 249
    Wladimir Klitschko 250
    Carlos Takam 254
    Joseph Parker 242
    Alexander Povetkin 245
    Andy Ruiz 247

I don't see the period where he has been "bulking up" recently.

I agree, everybody who thinks Joshua is too muscular is undoubtedly a jealous little dweeb.

He’s always been built exactly the way he is, some people are just built like that. Boxing culture shits itself over a fighter with muscle, when I boxed every coach (from my gym or others) would make a comment about my muscle mass, about lifting too many weights. At the time I did push ups and chin ups, and that was it. A fast twitch guy with testosterone and the right genes looks like that no matter what they do, we’re not all born the same.

AJ is not some master boxer that is being held back by muscle mass. Size is actually one of his assets. Sliming down will not make him any better IMO

I dunno, I seen some older pics of AJ where he looked leaner to me, but I'm no expert. I guess getting older can come into but I'd veer more towards him intentionally bulking up personally. He clearly has trouble carrying it if he is under pressure for 12 rounds anyway, whether its natural or not, I guess like Bruno did, who usually started very well but became tired and disorganised later in the fight?

He is what he is. Weighing 250 pounds in pure muscle and weighing 240 pounds of pure muscle isn't going to make any difference. He has no tank, it's genetic. It's not like he's a slob who can't be bothered to train, quite the opposite from what we see. Stamina is a strange one, You get fat dudes like Ruiz and Chris Arreola who can fight at a decent pace and others who look in better shape that struggle. I can attest to it myself, skinny as f*** but can't run for nothing, the fat dudes at school used to lap me.

If he puts punches together he gasses. If you catch him in between that he gasses even worse. Wlad, Whyte and Ruiz have all shown this. I think he knows it too, it's why he has fought more cautiously since the Wlad fight, he is managing his resources better so as to not get caught. He broke this rule against Ruiz when he started going hell for leather trying to KO him, he got excited and paid the price. Hehas been fortunate up until now because no-one has been able to withstand his barrage to test him.

If it takes you 4-5 full rounds of no activity to recover from throwing a decent amount of punches then dropping a few pounds of muscle is really not going to help all that much.

Even Roach said he has a lot more muscle after Klitschko fight. But regardless if he he’s gotten heavier or not, he needs to change his ways.

Which is why Frank Bruno was so succesful in being the best, most dominant fighter of his era.

Yeah, he’s started his pro career weighing around 230. You can see that he’s lighter on his feet, more nimble, and his hand speed is so much faster.

Obviously he and his team rate the muscles. I guess they think it has helped him get this far. I reckon it’s been a handicap.

Stamina is built up, its not something you have or have not. Fat guys or thin guys it doesn't matter, one has to put in the time and effort to build stamina. Joshua clearly does not put in time or effort required to build up his stamina. Now one could say he puts way too much emphasis on his build, ie. looking yoked and they'd probably be right. Boxing has long shown that physique does not equal boxing ability. AJ is getting a history lesson now on the very topic.

He needs to get to the point where his chin is completely engorged in his thickly muscled trunk and his traps form a hood over the top of his head. Can’t shatter the glass if you can’t hit it.

People are only saying that he needs to slim down because he lost. If he had won, nobody would be questioning his weight. If he was slim, and he lost, people would no doubt say it's because he's too light, which is hurting his power, strength, punch resistance, etc.
