Both Charlo's beat Trout and Jermell edged it against Harrison in a close fight. It was a close fight but Jermell clearly won. Maybe there is a case for a draw against Harrison but I'd have to re-watch it. Jermall vs Korobov I could see people having Korobov edging it, but not that wide without a bias, or not knowing how to score a fight, and I know you know how to score a fight. But I also know how you score when you have a bias.

Also two matches you're way off on as far as ESB public opinion goes. I wasn't the only guy that scored both Trout matches for Trout. There was a hell of a lot of ineffective aggression from both Charlo's, they were far less accurate that most thought they were, both Trout matches were like Paulie vs. Lobov last night.

Going into the Jermallo fight Korobov hadn't fought anyone above journeyman level in 4 years and he hadn't stopped anyone in 5 years and he was training for an 8 rounder at 162 against an opponent who was 0-4 in his last 4 and 2-6 in his last 8 albeit his loses were against quality opposition. If Korobov didn't have such poor stamina he would've shut out Jermallo 12-0.

Jermallo has a hissy fit because the announcer mentioned that he had a hard time with Trout. Jermallo knows Trout took his ass to slick school lol

Would be interesting to see how old man Rigo does against Rey Vargas, since this fight is a final eliminator for the WBC.

I've been back and forth on that one as well. Ceja's two KO losses both should have huge asterisks above them, both were injuriy induced, not KTFO type KO's. And Ceja has a ton of power, with great hooks and an underrated uppercut, my only concern is whether or not he can actually land it or not, before Rigo smashes his nose again. That's where my doubts come creeping it. But it would not shock me in the least to see him pull the upset, just like it wouldn't shock me at all if Rigo KO's him in the 1st round.

If either of tonight's Mexicans are victorious it will mean they scored a far bigger p4p upset than Ruiz over Joshua, but will get only a tiny fraction of the press...because a) people on the whole are sickeningly HW-obsessed and b) there is this miconception among idiots that DKSAB that Ruiz was a no-hoper, perhaps conflating him with (vastly inferior) fellow Mexican-American obese sometimes-contending fighter Cristobal Arreola.

Ruiz was a top 5-10 h2h in the division; the same can't be said for Ceja nor Cota.

Anyone have any predictions for the Ribo-goblin bout? I'm predicting... pain. Rigo threw a lot of punches and was very aggressive (By his standard) in his last bout and I expect more of the same... I think Rigo gets it done sometime in the first 3 rounds. He's going to be too fast and too powerful for the defensively porous Ceja.

Oh, and: both Charlo brothers owed Trout a rematch. At the very least it should have been a point of pride (intended pun) for a couple of young hungry "lions" groomed for success with major financial backing and world class sparring available, to distance themselves from each having fought on BITTERLY CLOSE terms (regardless of scorecards, that was the case for both) versus a stylistically disadvantaged contender that by then was already over the hill.

Of course, if they rematched him now (and it wouldn't shock me in the least if either tabbed him next after Cota or Adams), in light of the Gausha performance it would end up being a huge cherry pick and dominant mismatch allowing either Charlo to boast "see? :D last time was a fluke.." - and this angers me greatly.

Yeah, I'm definitely leaning heavily in that direction as well, but I'd be thrilled to see Ceja ull off the upset. I've always liked Ceja an he did remarkably well against another southpaw in Moreno, but Rigo hits a lot harder and controls range a hell of a lot better than ancient Anselmo.

Not sure about that with Jermell actually. I thought the same thing heading into that one the first time, remember, Trout was coming off of being stopped by Hurd, that was supposed to be an easy KO win cherry pick.

No wonder he gassed he trained for an 8 round prelim coming back after long lay off too. Suddenly thrust into a 12 round title fight against the supposed Lion !! ROFL
The lion turned out to be a kitty kat & Korobov gave him a boxing lesson till he finally gassed. The kitty Kat still couldnt put him away. Korobov won that fight & should be champ
