Absolute bull**** stoppage. Ceja put in too much work, and had too much success to not be allowed to fight on. Rigondeaux dug himself a huge hole by trying to prove a point. Rigondeaux should have been allowed to dig himself out of that hole without the ref's help. It seemed like his single shots were slowly breaking down Ceja's punch resistance. Let the fight go on so we could see if Rigondeaux would get a proper finish in the next round or two. Let the fight go on and see if Ceja could continue to outwork Rigondeaux in the following rounds.

Rigondeaux almost threw the rest of his career away by trying to prove a point. He has to realize that you fight your fight. **** fan criticism. Yeah it's a more exciting style, but to fight like that against a bulkier guy, when you haven't fought in that style your whole career is just plain stupid. He also seems to hit harder when he's jumping in with that left hand with his whole body weight, as opposed to standing flat footed. I don't mind the infighting when he's not being lazy, but he started being really lazy after two or three rounds.

The fight continuing and Rigo getting the proper stoppage after being behind in the fight would have done much more for Rigo's promotion than that bull**** ass stoppage.
