Kell Brook to retire

There definitely aren't enough top drawer fighters on his record for the amount of fights he's had, and exciting fights at that, then you look at Khan's record, they just don't compare. Kell has had a good career but it feels like it was a missed opportunity, I do wonder how he'd have fared against Spence jnr if he hadn't have fought GGG before.

 

He's returning to the Ingle gym.

I am / was a Brook fan but he outpointed a Chippendale over 6 mths ago & hasn’t fought since so is looking to cash out imo

 

Yeah, to elaborate, Kell wanted to be the main draw and get one to one daily training from what I've heard, but with BJS being the top £ appeal that wasn't feasible at the time.

 

Kell Brook has been a Middleweight once and fought the best, BJS was a Middleweight for years and fought Lee and Lemmy at the tail end of their careers.

 

Who knows what’s going in in sparring though, perhaps the eye is still a problem

 

The proposal to fight Crawford is not going anywhere, in the 6News in Omaha Kell isn't on the rader as he wants money and crawford is on a guarantee. Not sure if matchroom can get that fight for him by putting up some money -unlikely.

 

Saunders signed to box Golovkin. Golovkin fought Canelo instead. Can’t blame Saunders. Saunders has just gone out to Kazakhstan to call out Golovkin. Only reason why Kell landed that fight is because everything was set up for Eubank.
