Took the words right out of my mouth!
Ruiz was on his game that night and people just underestimated and continue to underestimate him by assuming it’s AJ’s fault for losing...
Looking forward to the rematch though.

I don't think AJ was himself, but what were the reasons for that. Pick one or more of the following.

    1) Couldn't cope with Ruiz hands speed - That has exposed his defense
    2) Could cope with Ruiz pressure - Exposed his ring craft
    3) Didn't recover from the discombobulating temple shot, even 4 rounds later - Exposed his durability
    4) Couldn't cope with the pressure of headlining at MSG - Exposed his temperament
    5) Wasn't fully ready for the fight - Exposed his training team
    6) Was knocked down in sparring, hadn't recovered - Exposed his management team for not pulling him out

Any way you look at this, something was exposed. As said a million times now, it wasn't a lucky shot that took him down, it was a beating. If anything, in the Wlad fight, AJ was the one who won with the punchers chance, as Wlad decided he was done, and could easily out point him without having to take too many risks, which badly backfired.

Exposed in the sense that he was made to pay for fighting like a ******. An off night in the sense that he almost got away with it initially.

He was being pushed as a new ATG. ATGs at this point in their careers don't *have* off nights.

Like you said vs. older men or average competition. Ruiz jr was neither. Wilder is in the same boat once he steps up and fights some on Ruiz Jr/'s level.

Actually, he did, and Fury was the better by far.

Both guys were exposed. I bet they wish they fought each other as someone would win and look very good for a while
