Yours truly being chief among them; although I have to say, I've been pleasantly surprised by your man Dillian, happy to have been proved wrong by him, and genuinely want him to do well, due to him having been messed around and continually shafted by the WBC and other sanctioning bodies for so long.
Whyteleafe is being heavily Overrated to my objective eye. Guy went life and death for 23 rounds with a shot old delboy war chisora. That’s his level. I’d make him a slim favourite over the chinny robot (in the unlikely event he fights on after the tubby Mexican makes him quit again) Wilder and fury are levels above
Chisora has had nearly 40 fights. How many have stopped Chisora inside 12? And how many of them would not have gone 24 rounds in a rematch??
Don't rate Whyte that highly myself. I reckon Wilder, Fury, Ruiz and AJ all beat him. He hasn't the chin or the stamina to get the W in those matchups for me. However, I do respect him for the following reasons: - He's a game lad. - He's a real character, not afraid to speak his mind - He's making the most of his limited ability
Prime chisora went twenty two rounds with a young Tyson fury but lost probably every round. Guy had a chin, doesn’t mean he can’t get completely outclassed by the top guys. Whyteleafe lost the first fight with shot old delboy in many peoples eyes and took eleven rounds to put the old dog down in the second. Shot to pieces old man with ten losses or whatever. It’s whyteleafes signature win.
With a dubious knock down and out on his feet. Won’t rematch Parker unless it’s titles. Think Parker beats him handily in rematch myself. Whyte got away with murder in that fight from the ref.
He did rough house him your right, although Parker should have tried to adapt...possibly couldn't due to a concussion but we will never know I've not mentioned tactics though above Just what the record book says and its clearly the best victory on paper
Regardless of how close the fight with Parker was, Whyte suprised all with hanging in there and going toe to toe with what seems to be the most underrated fighter in the lineup? The man who beat Ruiz Jr... and took AJ the distance. Parker with 15 years more experience than Whyte.... faster hands....younger.... fresh... fit... Whyte is definitely in the top tier class... you just don't know it yet.
Whyte has improved but thats not hard to do when you're technically terrible to begin with. Vastly improved his left hook, but still can't thrown a straight right correctly. Footwork and balance is still very bad, after throwing constantly out of position. Mediocre jab. Lost the first Chisora fight imo, was losing the 2nd when he got the KO. If Parker let his hands go earlier and applied the pressure a few rounds earlier I think he could've stopped Whyte.
I don't think Matchroom will be taking any chances with the Oscar Rivas fight. If Rivas does turn up and puts up some solid resistance we should expect a completely biased reffing job again at the O2 arena ....... to keep the cards stacked heavily in Whyte's favour. Hearn cannot afford to lose his "WBC #1" at this point in his professional life.
