This will be his first fight since the Canelo bout which was in 2015. His opponent is a man named Colby Courter, who boasts a record of 13 wins and 14 losses. Obviously Kirkland should get the W, but the real question is, what can he accomplish in the sport now after his hiatus.
Hope he does well in this comeback bid so his glass jaw can be shown to the world again in another high profile fight.
I guess this is another boxing confession for me, I was all about that James Kirkland. Don’t have my hopes up this time around
ROFLMAO Kirkland had the backing of Ann Wolfe & Pops Billingsly who gave him chance after chance but he let them down bad. To be honest I was surprised Ann didnt kick his ass herself she was capable. He just couldnt cut it
Idk man.... Seeing him make pillow fisted Ishida look like a savage world class puncher was comedy gold!
Word is that it took Kirkland 4 years to settle the class action lawsuit filed by boxing audiences injured by glass shards flying all over the venues he fought in.
Was a big Kirkland fan when he was at the peak of his momentum. He simply didnt live the lifestyle needed to be as successful as he should have been. I actually consider him one of the biggest underachievers of that era, just imo. Anyways... hes been done since before the Canelo fight. He will have zero relevancy from here on out imo unless its to use whats left of his name to be fed to someone. That being said... I'll be rooting for him, regardless.
He took Joel Julio , Tapia & Angulo best shots round after round. Both losses a focus issue. Canelo wins each time,,but with Wolfe he loses like a warrior. Feel for him, he was never taught to box, rather how to bang until.....
We'll see. He's had 2.5 bad performances, one was a fluke with Ishida, half was with Molina who has a habit of making his opponents look bad, and of course the beating he took from Canelo. I hope he still has a few more miles to go. Im hoping.
