    I've always thought Martinez would give both of them nightmares, and could beat them, and I stand by that.

    His handspeed was tremendous. He could catch either guy w/ a fight ending left.

    Do you really think the Martinez that stopped Williams and thrashed Pavlik would lose to Margarito? You know I love Margarito almost as much as you do, but Martinez by that point was on another level.

    Pretty sure the shot that landed on Williams would have both GGG and Canelo doing a dance or suffer a KD... Nah, not really. That shot ends GGG and Canelo. They might not go fish eyed, but they're not beating the count.

    Margarita style was bad for Martinez anytime.

    Sergio kept his hands down to his knees goading fighters.

    Paul punches weren't enough to keep Martinez honest, but 3G & Saul are pressure fighters with power. That reflex wouldn't be quick enough to bring those hands from his waist to his face ....without both guys cracking him.

    iMO Martinez best asset was his talent, not skill. Nice power, but his corner throws the towel in against Saul. 3G drops him hard for the count.

    The only reason we talk about Martinez is because Arum let Pavlik move to light heavyweight to fight Hopkins. Hops took something out of Pavlik that night. Had a pre Hopkins Pavlik fought Martinez, he would have stopped him.
