Wouldn't Sergio Martinez have whooped either GGG or Canelo

    Golovkin KO 8.

Any Golovkin pre mid 30s walks Sergio down and stops him, imo. Hes all wrong for Martinez.

Canelo vs Martinez is a very very interesting fight. I favor Canelo however slightly. Hes a bit more versatile, and I also think he catches Sergio with a shot that hurts him at some point. But I do wonder how Canelo would do against Martinezs combination of speed, power and mobility. And Canelos prone to gassing a bit which would allow Martinez to gain ground he might have lost up to that point.

Thats one hell of a fight.

Would've took Clenelo to Slick School Tango style and totally embarrassed his ginger ass. However, he would've needed to score a brutal HL reel KO of the Century type finish to secure a draw.

Sergio would've caused GGG plenty of problems but (and we're talking about a prime GGG here) I feel GGG would catch up with him and stop him late with that brutal power of his.

I favour Martinez slightly over both of them. Both those guys struggle with movement & hand speed. I think Hopkins could edge Sergio though. Then again if Rob Allen gave him fits, maybe not.

Finally a good hypothetically matchup. Sergio vs Canelo. I think it would be a thriller. I see Sergio outboxing Canelo for most of the fight, but eventually he gets dropped, and Canelo walks away with a “depends on who you ask” type of decision.

If GGG couldn't catch a moving Canelo clean I have a hard time seeing him catching the more mobile Martinez.

Maybe GGG would beat the version of Martinez JCCjr lost too but hard to see GGG catching Sergio.

Canelo vs Martienz would be amazing. Canelo with his feints, and power, Martienz with his angles, power and elusiveness.

He was a fantastic fighter Martinez, I just cant see how he beats the GGG that was wrecking the likes of Macklin, hungry and relentless. As Macklin said after the fight, "Sergio is a good friend of mine, but Golovkin ruins him ", I don't think he makes it the 12 rounds..With his great foot work and angles I can see him being a hard outing for Canelo, that fights hard to call. He imo might be to delicate for GGG

Foot work, you not seen GGG cut the ring off? The GGG of the Canelo fights has a harder time with Martinez though, but we compare 2 fighters at their best no ?

never been done, you've picked 2 fighters that Martinez has zero chance of knocking out, quite clearly

I'm not sure he beats either of them to be honest. Both great fights though

I've seen GGG cut the ring against sub par non elite competition.

I also saw him have a difficult time catching Canelo and Jacobs.

Levels bro. Prime Martinez is no Monroe.

I think the ace in the hole here for the newer fighters is their level of chin. They're both certified armour plate, and I don't think Martinez has the tools to get them out of there. Golovkin's jab and methodical approach is going to make it a long night for Sergio, and Canelo poses his own particular problems od speed and defensive nous. I think both of the more modern fighters should be favoured but Martinez will pose more problems for Canelo than GGG going by the way Canelo has historically struggled with light-footed opponents.
