Canelo would have to put some crazy weight restrictions on kovalev for it even to be competitive.

Kovalev is capable of outboxing canelo and he’s also more than capable of decapitating canelo.

If they drain Kovalev the fight would not be interesting at all.

Isn't Kovalev a lot bigger than Canelo?

    1) Kovalev is nowhere near his best. He's looked iffy in more than a few fights lately and there's a reason why Alvarez wants to fight him.
    2) Very likely Canelo runs a catchweight on him and drains his ass. Kovalev's so-so gas tank at a drained weight? Not good.
    3) Canelo and judges ... yeah, we know the deal.

Under those conditions I suspect he outpoints Kova.

Canelo has not gotten KO, KD, or beat up like Kovalev has, twice.

So we can fully expect Canelo to ditch the catchweight and rehydration clause? Or will the CatchWeight King continue in his ways?

If its for a championship then I expect it to be at the full LHW limit, otherwise is just a sham like some of Pacquiao's fights and I wouldn't consider him a true champion there like I don't with Pacquiao at JrMW.

    Canelo hasn't fought Alverez

And if Kovalev had Canelo's protection ward would've been DQed

And both Alverez and Ward beat Canelo

Canelo's tainted meat is far inside you, that you are legally classed as a single entity.
I would not be suprised if you could tell us all the taste of canelo's armpit sweat.

I think Kovalev is a shell of his former self, I'll take Canelo. People rave about Kovalev in the second Alvarez fight but I saw it differently. I thought he reacted poorly to Alvarez's punches and I believe he has reached the age where "the fear" has crept in and I can't see him taking shots all night from Canelo. Alvarez didn't let his hands go (credit to Kovalev, I guess) and allowed Kovalev to fight at the pace he wanted, but Canelo won't. I could be wrong...but assuming Canelo is healthy at the weight, I think he's level's above Kovalev of today.
