AJ Tweets a Training Video - "Grow through what you go through"

Stupid training videos are more like click bait than anything.

 

He needs to eliminate the weight training and get in the gym and work on his boxing skills which according to a respected, knowledgeable expert (Ruiz) aren't as good as they should be.

This guy is mentally bad at losing

 

normally you can't make drastic changes at the age he is because habits will be very hard to correct. He doesn't move his head enough etc. Wladimir changed the way he boxed, he became more boring because of it, but he was winning. Joshua kind of has the same flaws that Wladimir had. Wladimir was this hard punching heavyweight that knocked guys out, but he didn't have the stamina, nor the durability so of course took losses normally against fighters that shouldn't of stood a chance. Joshua on the other hand cares about pleasing the boxing fans, so I don't think he could make the changes that would need to be made. He basically would have to become more of a boxer behind his jab, and be more patient. I think he'll still lose against Wilder. I also think Fury is wrong for him as well.

 

I don`t even know what he was doing there, he`s still leaving his head on the center line after punching, his trainer has not studied why he got caught and doesn`t have the knowledge to train him on defense, he`s moving back in a straigt line which you should not do as a basic rule in boxing, his team is crap.

 

I agree It's beyond ******ed sadly, the Instagram champ has to make showy video which has no logic or substance.

The trainer doesn't need to continuously swatting at Joshua's body when Ruiz isn't a predominant body puncher and neither does he need Joshua training to hit his target above head level when Ruiz will be the shorter man.

Joshua should be training to fight on the back foot on the defense and his trainer should be mimicking Ruiz's counter hooks, attempting to condition Joshua to stay out of range and not lbe in range after throwing his combinations.

 

No proper training.

 

Here's the thing about Anthony Joshua trying to please everyone: try as he might, he will never, ever succeed in doing so. Nobody can. Rather, the only thing Joshua will truly succeed in doing if he keeps up the business of trying to please everyone, is become an enemy to himself.

 

Does anyone know if Ruiz will be putting his new Snickers belt on the line for the rematch?

If anything, it's already more prestigious than the IBO belt. Not that that was too difficult a thing to accomplish.
