Sauerland Events stated: The boxer is well restored after the operation: he is already breathing independently and reacting to external stimuliation. "Although he remains in the intensive care unit," the promo company said in a statement, "the most difficult and dangerous period is already over. In the coming days, Eric will conduct a series of surveys, during which they will determine what consequences the injuries will have for his future. "

Hope these injuries are minor and he can fully recover.

He's breathing by himself but with the help of a respirator and is able to respond to his name.

Hopefully he'll be able to resume a normal life!

That's a very promising sign, the fact that's he's already responding to stimuli and he's breathing on his own right after coming out of it, based on my experiences with people in comas, he'll probably make a full recovery, fingers crossed that he doesn't tempt fate and go into a boxing gym again.

The alternative is not always better, a man who believes (due to experience) that violence is the solution of conflicts. The original path was his natural instinct & things were going fine, he knows his body best.

Death is the only thing certain in Life, so until then encourage him do what he loves to do most.

Great to see Skoglund has made such a good recovery albeit it's still an ongoing process.

Really good interview he comes across as a lovely fella

Skoglund is a good fighting man. Probably gave Smith the toughest fight he's had to date.
