Great fighter. One of the Greatest ever british fighters, and one of the most exciting British fighters ever. I started watching boxing just as Froch had his british title fight on the BBC, it was a privilege to watch his career. His back to back fights against top opposition was the hardest run of any UK fighter I can think of and he beat almost all of them. A lot of people don't like his personality, but no one can deny what he did in the ring.
That was a proper war bud and the first fight back on ITV for a while was a great night for our sport comebacking on terrestrial tv. I was in Vegas for Pacman De La Hoya and remember speaking with David Haye about the flght on the flight back. Then of course Pascal went straight onto WBC champion at 175. Not a huge Froch fan, but he was def value for money.
I thoroughly enjoyed his fights. His late rallies were epic. Great chin, great engine, great will to win and solid power. Unfortunately, I can't stand the guy any more. A right plonker he is.
One of the greatest fighters ever produced from Britain which is pretty incredible since if we're being honest he was quite limited and often his chin and stamina would bail him out but he was involved in some great tear ups. He was never the best in division though with Ward being there but you can't take away some of the wins he had, I don't think we will see someone get to world level with that type of fighting style again tbh. Nowadays though he specialises in handing out 10-10 rounds like confetti absolutely dreadful pundit, I think i seen someone say he is like Gary Neville in reverse he was hated as a player but brilliant as a pundit the complete opposite can be said for Froch.
No Froch no Joshua as a stadium fighter in the uk. He changed the game in this country. Before the US market woke up again the UK market was THE place because of him. Will we see his type again? Maybe one day. Don't come around very often though
Was great fight but I think I would have rather been at the Pacmsn De La Hoya fight mate ! Froch went into the Pascal fight with lots of injuries including a perverated ear drum. I have meet Froch a couple of times, came across as a really nice guy. I think his dry sense of humour doesn't come across on tv, though I do agree he is a poor pundit. I knew watching Pascal he would become a world champion too, was in his pomp back then.
Carl Froch was a rare fighter who would fight Anyone didn't know how to "run" in a ring and had an amazing chin. Glad he got some big paydays at the end as his career was one to be proud of.
Lol maybe the new Froch will be Froch himself is where that was going. He keeps talking up a return to the ring lately!?
The new Froch!!! He has changed alright, now that he is one of the flat earth brigade!!! He was though a great fighter, The beating he put on Bute was brutal...
as long as he hasn't got Froch's personality. Mind you now him and Groves have made up a bit he has come across a lot better.
