We haven't seen Spence truly take the test. Does anyone else think Crawford Masterminds Spence??? Imho Spence will look like an AM vs Crawford...
I think Crawford gives Spence a one-sided pasting, maybe even a late stoppage win, which will likely cause some to proffer the excuse that "But Spence was weight-drained; he couldn't safely make 147", in much the same way Kell Brook, subsequent to going up to 160 to fight Golovkin and getting ruined, and then finding himself incapable of stripping off the added muscle and making it back to 147 to fight Spence without destroying himself was -- an irony which I hope won't be lost on Spence or his apologists. Spence will then move up to 154 afterwards. I would like to see Crawford run through all the top guys and completely clean out 147.
It vey well could be one of those fights that looks competitive for most of the fight, and then you look back at the cards and notice that Crawford has won almost all of the rounds. I just don't see Spence having the same boxing IQ and/or adaptability that Bud has. TBC by decision.
He ducks well and fights smaller guys. I heard he wants Pacman next because Manny is small like Mikey. I doubt Spence takes this fight.
Crawford has been a pro since 2008, four years earlier than Spence. Who has he fought? I like both guys and would love to see the fight but I can't see exactly who Crawford has fought and beat to justify the credibility he receives. Watching him through the years made it obvious that he is a special fighter, but up to this point he hasn't beaten anybody or been in a mega fight. I would think that 11 years into his pro career means it's time to step up.
I’m a Crawford fan and would bet on him over just about anyone close to his weight, including Spence. But Spense is not one I like bet against, he’s exceptionally composed and has what looks to be a good chin to go with his power, he could surprise. My money is still on Crawford but he has a propensity to brawl at times which could make for a much tougher although more fun to watch fight.
