When I first heard about the fight, my initial thoughts were that I figured Pac had enough in the tank to get the job done because we all know Thurman didn't look impressive in his last fight and Pacman is a once in a lifetime talent. However, even though Pac is a young 40(those Filipino genetics man) you can't ignore the size and age advantage Thurman has over Pac and ultimately I think these two factors alone will decide the fight. Let's look at Pacman's latest fight history. Pac in my opinion lost to Jeff Horn. Yes he had 1 really good round but 1 really good round doesn't make a fight. Then he easily beats Matthysse which looked to be a fixed fight. Broner didn't let his hands go either which turned out to be an easy fight for Pacman. If the fight goes to the scorecards, I think Thurman will be protected because of his value to PBC and Al Haymon. I believe Pacman's contract with PBC ends after this fight. Who's promoting the fight and who's promoting the fighters is something you should always look at. I'm actually surprised how close the bookies have this one but it kind of makes sense because I think the causal bettors will be all over Pac and there will probably be more tickets placed on him. I'm almost sure of that. In reality, I think you're actually getting value on Thurman here. I could be wrong and maybe my opinion will flip again closer to the fight but as of now, I think the younger and bigger Thurman beats the HOF Pacquiao. Thoughts?
Close fight in my opinion pac is just a genetic freak And we can't sleep on Thurman I have it a close competitive decision that will go either way Close fight Thurman fanboys will cry Robbery if it's close And pac fanboys will cry robbery if it's close It's a coin toss may the best man win
A factor to consider is Pacquiao looking faster and more explosive than he did in his broner training videos. Hopefully he won't be coming in with a cold either. Then again he could overtrain and age overnight. I think it'll be a competitive fight.
I'm undecided at the moment, but if the Thurman that fought Josesito was no one off fluke, he's ****ed.
I liked Thurman pre-car crash and thought he and Brook were the best welters. Not so much now, I think Pac wins on the cards due to fan favouritism and 'aggression'. Thurman's recent love affair with skipping around the ring will be his undoing, although I think he wins 3-6 rounds.
There is no doubt that this post was made to get a reaction from Pacquiao fans. So if you don't mind, explain what you mean when you say that he is a fraud.
It will be great if Pac man beats Thurman and I hope he does. It won't shock me if he wins. For me Thurman doesn't come across like a true fighter but I'm guilty of judging him via the media I haven't seen much of him more than highlights. Even tho Pac man beat broner I feel like broner didn't really try and Thurman will try. Have to side with age and size this time around
Let's be real, you are and have always been a Pacquiao hater. If Spence was fighting Thurman next, you wouldn't be making such a moronic statement. Spence is fighting Porter, whom most people had losing to Ugas, yet there's zero criticism there. If Pacquiao were fighting Porter, you'd say Porter looked bad/lost his last fight. You're a POS write an agenda 24/7. But you do know that you actually elevate Pacquiao's reputation and ATG standing when you're trying to make a case for a part-time 40 year old boxer cherrypicking a huge 30 year old welterweight champion with the best resume, right?
I wouldn't count pac out but i see it as a thurman my competetive ud. But who knows if keith fights negatively that may sway the judge's decision to pac
I don't think ironmanmt was referring to the original post. I think he was referring to the comment made by Jamzy- ie. calling Manny a fraud.
