When you're rabbiting on about some imaginary super heavyweight division, or banging on about a 247 lb fighter being bigger than a 268 lb fighter, you are betraying a lack of contact with reality.

Boxing size divisions are based on WEIGHT, not HEIGHT.

A healthy weight for height used to be the same for athletes as it is for everyone else.

Ruiz is obese. Trim him down to the fat % of a Ali, Marciano or Louis and you would have a Joe Frazier size fighter.

Fat weight is unproductive weight. You will see this when Ruiz is pushed hard and taken into the later rounds.

All this being said Ruiz has skills. I hope he gets his act together physically so his ability is not short changed long term.

 

Yes, of course I disagree. He is most decidedly NOT short. At 6' 2" he is in the 96th percentile of American male height. That means he is taller than 19 out of every 20 males in the US. Definitely not short. But again, facts don't seem to have much influence on your thinking.

Regardless of his body composition, he is BIGGER in boxing terms, than AJ.

He himself stated that he wanted to be heavier going into the bout with AJ, therefore, unlike yourself, must have thought it would confer an advantage on him.

Bottom line here, Ruiz was BIGGER than AJ.

 

In typical fashion you ignore what a dozen people can see plain as day. Ruiz fought nothing like Rocky and was heavier than his opponent so it's a terrible example. If you can find a better one go for it but i Will ignore any more of your idiotic comparisons.
