Mosley was physically strong, more power than Cotto, and was way faster than Marg which was the main reason Marg had problems with him.. Shane was strong enough to smother him before he could wrap him up and get him in a corner to pressure him.. Paul Williams has an significant speed and height advantage also was a volume puncher similar to Marg with less power.. Even if you pay attention to the Clottey fight he was physically stronger so Marg couldn’t overwhelm him.. So Shane has a significant speed and better offensive game than Clottey which would have always been a problem for him..

If you encase your entire hand in plaster, you break your hand. If you insert used knuckle pads over your knuckles instead of a normal knuckle pad using gauze, you make it so that your fist is less cushioned (therefore capable of doing more damage) while still protecting the fighter's hand. It's a bit more subtle and is usually meant to ensure an advantage over the long haul.
